WHY THE POLAR BEAR

Lions have prides.

Wolves have packs.

The polar bear has neither.

It never became one of many.
It became itself.

The name SOLITAR draws on the Latin word solitarius, meaning “solitary” — being on your own.

The polar bear is our symbol of independence and individuality.
